I am delighted to welcome you to Our Lady of Fatima School’s Website.

Our Lady of Fatima School is a Roman Catholic integrated Full Primary School (Year 0– 8) located at 370 Innes Road in the heart of Mairehau. The school was established in 1954 and was originally staffed by the Sisters of the Holy Faith. Today the staff are all lay teachers who aim to preserve its Catholic character. Pupils are drawn mainly from Mairehau, Shirley, Queenspark, Burwood and Marshland areas and generally the community reflects a middle income status. Last year our school roll peaked at 263 students.

Over recent years there has been considerable development in the physical appearance of the school. This has included the Library upgrade, two new classrooms and reburbishment of existing classrooms, provision of Junior & Senior Adventure Playgrounds, shade areas, retreat areas, new Administration Area, Toilet Block, Storage Shed, computer cabling, and landscaping. These upgrades are a reflection of need and the support and drive received from the Board of Trustees and Diocese.

We are a well resourced school. The school has a well stocked automated library and ICT is used extensively as a tool for learning, each classroom having multiple computers which are networked for effective usage.

Our Lady of Fatima is a school striving for excellence in education. As a Catholic School we commit ourselves to developing the whole person emphasising the importance of the spiritual dimension as well as providing a quality education. Christian values are fostered and as a school community we recognise we all need one another's support and care. The school participates in the evangelising mission of the Church and is a privileged environment in which Christian education is carried out.

The school is actively supported by the parents and community in such events as Sacramental Programmes, Sports,  School Masses / Liturgies, musicals and presentations. Governance is practiced by the Board of Trustees and the Parents & Friends Association working in tandem to provide extra resources for the school.
