Our Charter places an emphasis on a range of skills needed by the modern learner. Central to these is literacy. "Teachers successfully promote students' literacy through a focused approach to improving specific skills. An enthusiastic literacy team models teaching strategies and provides support with resources and planning. Many teachers regularly use a variety of strategies within lessons. The learning needs of students requiring support are effectively identified and catered for. A range of processes ensures that parents and students have opportunities to contribute to developing appropriate goals and programmes." (Education Review Report November 2008)

Dear Parents/Caregivers
Please be advised that every Tuesday school will start at 9.00am for all students (not 8.40am). Students will still have 5 lessons during the day, but there will be no Tutor Group meeting on a Tuesday. Timetables have been given out to all students with this change.
This later start enables teachers to receive professional development every Tuesday from 8.15am to 8.55am.
Yours sincerely
B D Petherick
Principal
