Any family who has a 3 or 4 year old who uses their 20 Free Hours for childcare costs and enrols full time with any South Otago Kindergarten gets a minimum of 25 hours free instead.

That's five extra free hours per week.

Over a year that can save you at least $3,570 in Early Childhood Education payments (at least $714 with the extra free hours alone)!  

All hours outside of these are charged at $3.40 - this is known as an Expected Payment..

All 2 year old children are also charged this rate.  

You can enrol your child from birth (essential if you want to get on top of the list when your child turns 2) and children start from 2 years old.
